Happy Very Belated Birthday to Faith!

Sooooooooooo, whilst we did celebrate F-Bomb's birthday in person, we neglected her very own birthday blog post and for this we are deeply sorry.  Time to make up for lost time and time to start getting our blog on more often.  I mean really............
Look at how precious she is.
One of several gifts hand-picked especially for our dear hostess with the mostess.
(no, we did not make her host her own soiree)
A new book of cook which included the recipe for her yummy cake.
Cookbook stand assembly is easier done when you are working with two functional thumbs.
Homemade crochet art for her guest bedroom...this had all the potential to go very wrong, but I think the birthday girl likes it.  What say you?
A good luck crochet sea stone and a goodbye kiss from the Lovely Lady LaBeaume.

Happy birthday Faith!  We love everything about you!

Snuggle Up

Downtown in Melissa's neck of the woods (not really downtown at all) after some treats to eat we all settled in for a Twilight reading while I crocheted and Faith and Jenn got fresh under the blankets. Admittedly we should all be ashamed, but it was a lot of fun!
We will not be attending the premiere of New Moon this weekend, but are headed to Trailhead this Thursday instead. I will have to wait for the DVD.
See how happy they are..............

30 Years and 1 Week

Mmmm......yummy cheesecake pops...made graciously by Melissa.......wait, who is Melissa?.....only the newest member of the Catty Kitchen!.....what, what-raise the roof! Oh, and her dessert was off the chain. I am talking white, milk and dark chocolate coating.......some were orange cheesecake, some were just regulah-ass cheesecake........a few were sprinkled with toffee and others with, well...sprinkles
This is our beautiful new friend. Melissa Ann.....her name means bumblebee and she is as sweet as the honey she collects. I have actually known her for many years, but we are all very glad to welcome her to the Kitchen.
And the event's main attraction is the birthday girl......Faith Michelle! She is officially 30 and loving it. Nor does she look it.
We surprised her with sushi birthday cake from I Love Mr. Sushi-it was magnifique! Our wine supply was depleted by 7:30 and we had to make a run to the grocer to the tune of 'Single Ladies'. That's a hot track-I ain't mad at that.

We were a little nervous about her gift because we made most of it, but I think she really liked it. Inside her banana leaf basket was a fish bank, four homemade washcloths, a cross-eyed bird, food tents, a penis-y mushroom, post-its, gorgeous garden hat and crocheted cupcake.

I almost forgot...Jenn made her recycled coasters and coin purse from plastic grocery bags. Apparently we use about 1,000,000 bags a minute (that's one million folks) which is no good for our 'Mom'.
Happy Birthday Faith, the old fart! We love you!

Elevated Testosterone Levels

Alright-this post is rot with photos Jenn took while messing with my camera unbeknown to me. So to punish her, everyone must see them...........Muah ha ha ha ha ha!

For whatever reason the optics in this house seem to multiply when placed on top of the commode.

This is a shamrock........and Jenn's first attempt at not killing all of the green in her life.

What a dork!

Here I am modeling the newest lap blanket trend. It also works well as a shawl.

Gomorrah is finally taking visitors...

My brother is a ghost! I had no idea...........BOO!

Jenn and Jay will be heading this way come August.

This is freaking adorable! Justin made curry, Jenn and I talked crafts and Faith's birthday party, I drank too much beer and had a great time all around.

Yarn Devil

My boss whom I have worked with for four years is being transferred to a different location. The shitty thing is I really enjoy working for her. How many of you can say you like your boss? Anyway, so that she will never forget us heathens she presided over for so long I crocheted her a devil.

He's not the greatest by any stretch of the imagination, but he probably took me about an hour and a half to complete. The idea here is that her new employees will have this guy lobbed at their heads when they piss her off and also a gentle reminder of the people who miss her. I guess if I make him again I will give him more production time and perhaps a hellish body.

Allow me to introduce...SHERBET

I completed a new doll for my daughter yesterday and we named her Sherbet (pronounced phonetically) because of her colors. I am pretty happy with her for the most part. There is a somewhat noticeable seam on her right side where I switched colors. I also wanted to try something different for the eyes this time, but I don't have my notions where they need to be for easy access. All in all I am very pleased with the result and my girl loves her which is the most important. I am conjuring up a cyclops of sorts to make for my son, although I need to decide which direction to go-ogre cyclops or alien cyclops? Does anyone have a preference?
